The Hinduja family established their business dynasty in Shikarpur Pakistan before moving to Mumbai India during the early twentieth century. Young trader Parmanand Hinduja departed from Shikarpur to migrate to Mumbai in 1914 as he pursued the development of a business empire. He moved from money lending operations to developing the business of dried fruits and tea imports into Iran. Through many decades the Hinduja family expanded its operations starting from jute and movie distribution businesses to finally become a global leader in healthcare alongside real estate and information technology sectors.

P.D. Hinduja Hospital, an integral part of the Hinduja Group, has rolled out a campaign aimed at increasing awareness of heart health. This initiative emphasizes the importance of prevention and encourages the adoption of a healthy lifestyle.
