The purpose of this life story is to inspire us to tread on the spiritual path. Whenever people digress from righteousness and indulge in "Maya" or false illusions, God reincarnates on this earth in human form for man's salvation. Our Poojya Satguru Swami Teoonramji Maharaj was born on the 6th of July, 1887 in a small village of Sindh known as Khandu on the banks of the holy river Sindhu in the province of Sindh; a pious land of Saints.

Melbourne being the centre for multicultural communities with Indian and other migrants from across the world has a number of discrete temples and shrines. A significant number of devotees and followers wishing to pay regular visits to their temple could not do this either due to distance or transportation. Gursahani family - a devotee and follower of Prem Prakash Panth took the initiative to open a dedicated temple for the Sanathan Dharma, here in Melbourne - a place of worship for many Gods enabling followers from Indian and other cultural backgrounds to offer prayers and seek blessings from their idols. Guru Maharaj Ji (PUJ. SWAMI BHAGAT PRAKASH JI MAHARAJ) of Prem Prakash Panth made his regular visits to Australia every year since 2008 to shower blessings for all the followers and devotees.

Hindu Temple is a place of worship for many Gods. It is a place where people from all backgrounds can come and offer prayers and seek blessings from their idols. We do not discriminate against anyone for their faith or religious beliefs. The founder of this Hindu temple is Kishore Gursahani - devotees and followers of Prem Prakash Panth who wanted to provide a dedicated temple for members of Indian communities living in Melbourne who were looking for a place where they could offer prayers and seek blessings from their idols. As a Hindu spiritual and religious organisation dedicated to serving the welfare of the masses, Prem Prakash Panth was established in Sindh [Undivided India] by Acharya Poojya Shree 1008 Satguru Swami Teonram Ji Maharaj. A successor of Satguru Swami Teoonram, Satguru Swami Sarvanand Ji Maharaj, propagated the panth to India after partition.

The Sages and Seers lead a selfless life, dedicated to the welfare and service of humanity. They keep spreading peace, devotion and love in the pious land of India. Amongst such enlightened souls our Satguru Swami Shanti Prakash ji Maharaj holds a venerable position. His name, "Shanti Prakash", means the one who spreads light and peace in the inner shrine of the devotees. He taught the lesson of peace to everyone. Upon having a sacred glimpse of him and uttering his name, a heart in distress can get immediate relief.
