What if Pony was actually a girl living three years after Johnny and Dally's deaths? What if...? Pony Curtis has lived with the deaths of her best friends for three years. Now, she is in college and still thinking about how one theme made her think about what's happened every day. Now, Two-bit is living with Darry, and Steve is still working at the DX Station. Pony realizes that everything, including her, has changed. Will she be the same when she finds a blast from the past?

A fourteen year old girl named Donna Green moves to a town called Tulsa after her mom and dad got divorced. After she meets a guy called Two-bit she meets the world of Greasers and Soc's. She has a great time for a while, but nothing great can stay forever so tragic happens and she needs to get out of it. ALL GREDIT GOES TO S.E. Ellie Mathews, Two-Bits little sister moves back to Tulsa to live with her brother after she runs away from her drunk father. Ellie has not seen the gang for four years and can't wait to reunite with her best friend, Ponyboy Curtis. Ellie thought things could go back to normal with the gang and everything but boy was she wrong! Nothing will be normal again when she starts to have feelings for one of the gang.

After the situation with her Mom, Veronica Brown moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma with her dad and her older brother. She meets two friends that introduce her to a group of greasers. She becomes great friends with them, and unexpectedly falls in love with one of them. All rights to S.E. Hinton.

Fourteen year old Alicia Romero has been friends with the Curtis brothers for as long as she can remember, having the brothers she needed. Surviving school and running from the law are things all teens in Tulsa have to deal with, but some carry a little more baggage than others. Through all the troubles Ponyboy offers something no one else in the gang can, a shoulder to cry on, for now.

This is a prequel to The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. It's from Johnny's point of view, instead of Ponyboy, and isn't pertinent that you read The Outsiders (but you definitely should if you can!) My school produces a magazine called Reflections, which is made up of only student work. Art work, essays, short stories, poems, or photos. My English teacher required us to submit either a short story, poem, or essay, and this is the short story I wrote for the magazine. But here's the thing about it: I really want it to turn out good, and I'm not sure that I did very well... So, whether or not you've read The Outsiders, please give me your opinion on this story!
