Hello everyone! This is my Johnny Cade x y/n fanfiction. Just a little heads up, this story doesn't take place during the time that The Outsiders does. It's kind of like an AU where Johnny and Dally didn't die, but all the other events happened. We'll say this is like, 6 months after. Also, I know that S. E. Hinton wrote a few books that take place after and have Outsiders characters in them, but I haven't read those in a hot minute so this won't be consistent with those books. Sorry! I hope you enjoy!

"I swear man, she's got more issues then Amy Winehouse, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and the Olsen twins, all together." Carson Mathews had it good, great actually: living alone in his apartment ( of course his grandmother still fed him and took his clothes to the cleaners and paid for all of his expenses, but those are just unimportant details), an extremely outgoing gay best friend and another devoted, scared of 10 year old girls one, a Jeep, girls all around him, an addiction to black coffee, a high IQ, great genes and a lip ring. Too bad she had to ruin everything.

He knew it then. He'd suspected it before, and knew that it had been coming along for a while- in the way he'd gaze a little too long at Connor's lips, or get all nervous and calm at the same time- but he was absolutely sure now. He was in love with Connor. The way the words reverberated in his chest, the strength of them, surprised him. He thought he'd been in love before, he thought he understand what it meant- but nothing had ever felt like this. Never had he felt like a calm blue sea, with Deya, he had always been the storm, rolling across the sky- but with Connor, he was as calm and as harmless as water in a near empty bathtub. Tanner's love for Connor was like a pulse, constant and changing and fundamental. He didn't think he'd ever be anything but in love again.

Lyra was born with a hippie mom and an equally hippie dad. They hopped from place to place, in a bus renovated to suit them when they were technically homeless, but after her grandma falls ill and is in need of care, Lyra and her family move back to their small hometown. Quiet, quaint, and homophobic. Although Lyra was born up here, she cannot remember anybody but one person other than her grandma. Her childhood best friend, Adrien. But as she comes back she finds out Adrien isn't the girl that Adrien used to be. In a homophobic town, she finds out that Adrien is ridiculed and bullied for their identity, and not wanting to stand out in this new environment, Lyra does nothing to stop this. but through heartwarming apologies and heartbreak, mended relationships, and betrayal, Lyra finds herself more and more interested in Adrien than she anticipated and wants nothing more than to be open about how she feels for her friend. © All art, characters, and ideas belong to the author of this novel. Winter Miller is considered a free spirit, connected, and one with the world and universe. Her name may suggest that she's cold and frosty, however she is anything but that, her soul is warm and just her very essence can light up a town. If people were flowers, she'd stand out in a field of daisies. Her cheerfulness and hippie-like attitude catches one eye in particular, the cobalt iris of Axel Williams. Will his dark past create barriers between them? After all, opposites attract, right?
