Nikkie seems like your average 14 year old girl, she goes to school, has some friends and she also has schizophrenia. But oddly enough Nikkie isn't aware of it and some of the people she meets throughout her life are much different than what she conceives. There also seems to be a killer who has no name, but is bent on killing Nikkie just like he killed her mother.
