Nichi's father is the magician, hisoka. This being said, nichi can't live a normal life. When her and hisoka get to the exams, she unexpectedly makes some new friends.

6 year old yoru enters the hunter exam for a chance to be able to escape the man who is hunting her down. The man would lock her up in a cellar, and do some horrible things to her. When she goes in the exam, she meets a magician, and an assassin. Yoru and hisoka start getting attached to each other, and hisoka considers the unthinkable. (DISCLAIMER: I do not own hxh.
