His sense of deep rooted hatred was understood only by his Mitr Duryodhan. He lost his sanity when both his best friends died, he lost his sanity when he saw all his nephews die, he lost his sanity when nieces also died performing Sati. That is why in the end he too ended up getting cursed due to lack of proper guidance. The Great Kurukshetra could have been prevented if only there was someone to guide these three best friends who would lose their sanity if even one of them is not present.
