Running. That's all I could do, that's all I needed to do. I didn't even know from what it was exactly I had to run from, or why for that matter. Granite walls strung with ripped paintings, hall tables with expensive looking tarnished and cracked center pieces on them and marble floors that had to make a lot of noise when your shoes moved on them- which is probably why I was barefoot. I wanted to scream and I would have if a hand haden't smothered itself over my mouth. Instead I settled for crying as the arms dragged me back.
