His mother's life is taken by a fever when he is twelve. His cousin kills himself when he's thirteen. A hurricane destroys his home when he's seventeen. His only chance of survival is to get to America. John Laurens was born into a wealthy family in South Carolina. He has the money to do whatever he wants. Sent to college in Geneva, Switzerland to study the prestigious subject of law. Finds a lovely wife. But he wants more. By some twist in fate, the two meet in the army under the renowned General George Washington. It's almost as if they were made for each other. Sounds like a cliché romance story. There's only one problem: This is 1777, the American Revolutionary War. And if they're found out? Everyone has a soulmate. They're a bit hard to find though, considering fusion is the only way to find them. Fusion occurs when two soulmates combine into a single body and consciousness, and you can only do this with your soulmate. So what happens when two unsuspecting soldiers in the Continental Army fuse one night?

Seventeen-year-old Alexander Hamilton should feel lucky. He should feel lucky that he survived the hurricane and the illness he and his mother had when he was twelve. He should feel lucky that he has a family now, an adoptive one at that. He doesn't. His traumatic childhood still haunts him day and night and Hamilton swore to himself to never befriend or to come close to anyone, for fear he may lose them. But when Hamilton arrives at King's High, all of that changes. He meets the dashing, charming, handsome blue-eyed John Laurens and instantly befriends him. But after his recent break up with his girlfriend Martha Manning, Laurens learns his father will be visiting him and expects Laurens to be with Martha, possibly even engaged to her. So, panicked, Laurens asks Hamilton to be his fake girlfriend because Hamilton looked "feminine" enough. Hamilton agrees nonetheless but little did they know, will the two teens actually become helpless for each other. (First book of The Helpless Trilogy)

If you were to ask Alexander Hamilton to describe himself on a regular day, he might say that he was a lawyer or a statesman, perhaps a general and veteran from the revolutionary war. If pressed, he might admit that he was an author and founder of the New York Post. However, if you were to ask him today, he would simply reply "exhausted." Sometimes it's when we're most vulnerable that we can finally face our truths, whether that be the ghosts of neglected friendships, memories of a war not five years past, or, as he found himself face to face with on this cold autumn's evening, a pile of crumpled letters pushed towards the back of his desk. • • • • • An 18th century tale of letters, flames, and acceptance inspired by 'Hello My Old Heart' by the Oh Hellos.

A reimagined fairy tale, adapted for a lams fic (I really do intend on coming up with a better description, I'm sorry) •I'm not one hundred percent on the title

Alexander knew that what he was doing was wrong. He knew that he had a life that most could only dream of a beautiful wife, amazing kids, a job that always pays. But he was without the one thing he could not live without. John Laurens. John was in too deep. But even then he knew that if he was given the choice he wouldn't change a thing. Alex was John's lighthouse in a storm with his beautiful red orange hair and violet blue eyes. Alex was the epitome of beauty and John would forever be grateful that he was in his life. Eliza was happy for once in her life. She had a wonderful husband, and six beautiful children to fill her world with joy. Her husband was the Right Hand Man to the president and had an amazing job. Her sisters were all here for the holidays and Alexander promised he wouldn't do any of his work for the whole holiday. He even got his friends to come join them in New York even if Eliza noticed he was way happier to see John then the others but she figured that was because they always were as close as brothers. For this LGBT history month, I'm gonna post one reason to why Lams was real each day (if I don't forget) as a way to celebrate LGBT history! This is mostly gonna be based on their letters (which are indeed reliable sources, they're considered primary sources for a reason) but you'll probably stumble upon a crack chapter here and there. Whoops. Enjoy!

Lams Oneshots. Mostly historical, requests open. Updates extremely rare but when updated the Oneshot is very long. "Today was the day. Finally, John Laurens was going to be able to see Alexander Hamilton, his best friend and once lover, after seven and a half years of being away in London. ... He had to admit, he was very excited to see his dearest friend after almost eight years. ... He knew what to expect: he would walk in, Alexander would ignore him, assuming he was Eliza, and then he would walk up, set down the tea, and surprise him. ... But when he turned to look at him, Alexander wasn't the only one who was surprised." * This story contains a mild bit of stuffing, mention of weight gain, and having a fetish for it. If this makes you uncomfortable, please read something else that's more suitable to your interests, because otherwise, it'll just be really awkward for both of us.

I thought this might be fun so... I'm going to go over the letters and other scenarios (I'll take requests if there's something you want me to go over) I'll try to be as unbiased as I can but no promises. As I said, I am no historian, so this is mainly my opinion and interpretation/background knowledge on this. These two need more recognition. #StopIgnoringTheGaysOfHistory

I'm a sucker for historical lams

I've always liked the ship lams, but the historical version always felt best to me. I see a lot of stories where they frame John as "gay turtle boi" and as much as I love him- I like the real him best. So basically this is more of a historical lams story, where they have to keep their relationship a secret. Enjoy!
