Standing near the bridge, the afternoon wind brushed against A Hua's body. She glanced back, the constant stream of passing cars created a thunderous roar that rang painfully in her ears. Yet strangely, it also formed a sense of order. A Hua watched it and smiled.
"It's very much like me," A Hua said, turning her gaze forward again, lowering her head to look at the flow of the river.
"Water carries memories," she murmured as a sudden gust of wind blew harder. "Water also sustains destiny. Just let me rest," she continued.
A Hua paused for a moment, then suddenly jumped from the bridge. Her body fell straight into the river. She did not struggle, nor did she panic; she simply just let herself go. She watched as the waves began to surround her. In her heart she said, "If the water carries me back, then so be it. If the water decides to sever my destiny from this world, that is fine too. I only want to rest."
In that state, A Hua began to recall several of her previous lives, how she had once jumped into the sea for the very same reasons and with the same words. She never felt sad or tormented by her life. Even in her past life, she had been successful, wealthy, and deeply loved by many people. Yet she endured everything and chose to leave for the sake of just one person.
She saw that man's soul and body who loved her deeply, yet also caused her pain. She remembered that in her previous life, he had hurt her so badly that it led to a miscarriage. When the man finally realized his mistakes and was filled with regret, A Hua still left in silence. However, she returned when she sensed that he intended to end his own life. A Hua held his hand and said that she could not forgive him, but she still loved him, even in the face of death, instead of offering comforting words to persuade him to abandon his plan.
A Hua began to feel the coldness of the water
" Sorry. IloveU, always ."
Slowly, she closed her eyes, imagining how their love would continue to flow on forever
