But the Pearl has been hidden by ancient priests and is guarded by an unspeakable horror - which is a pity since it remains Norris's only hope of ever returning to his own existence. He's accompanied on his quest by a novice from the Sisters of the Unexplained and an arrogant, irascible magician whose spellcasting ability is on par with a stuffed otter. Their guide is a desperately inexperienced treasure hunter ("Tombs Raided While U Wait") who couldn't find a brick in a bucket. Armed with ancient maps, magical scrolls and Cadmus's copy of "Amateur Spellcaster", the group set out to return with the Pearl before the invasion begins. In a spectacular and nail-biting climax, Norris discovers he's just a pawn in a plan so audacious that it puts every world in existence on the threshold of destruction – including his own. Norris discovers that he's even worse at preventing universal cataclysms than he ever was at selling Galvanised Tubing. So when things start to go pear shaped, Norris needs all the help he can get.

Most people's fears are normal like arachnophobia or acrophobia; some have unusual fears such as xanthophobia, which is the fear of the colour yellow. But for as long as I can remember my biggest fear was time. That time was running out, or that I wasn't using my time wisely. The gift wasn't my choice. It was forced upon me. People would say This 'gift' is a privilege and that I'm lucky to have such a wonderful "power". But they don't have to live with this so called "gift". They aren't the ones that can't live a normal life, they don't have to be on the run constantly from people that want to kill you. I'm rose Vogel and this is my story.

A man has an interesting ride home after leaving behind his past.

Meet Mochi (Mo for short) he's an Australian born boy with blue eyes and blonde shaggy hair. His mum is catholic and practically lives at the church. Mochi is bisexual and struggles to come out to his mum because of their family's religion. He suffers from anxiety, bullying and depression. One day it becomes too much and Mo decides to run away. He hitchhikes all over the country. Maybe one of his drivers will become more than just a stranger....

You see that man sitting there on that bed, The walls painted beige and creaky wooden floors beneath his feet? His overly long hair falling around him in a cascade of waves, and his eyes stare straight ahead holding no fire. Almost as if the residency is gone from his very being. That man is me, or what is left. Now I understand that maybe the fact that we are born not knowing our why isn't keeping us from ourselves, but saving us. She'd been right in the palm of my hand, then she fell through my fingers like the sand on the California beach.

Michael, a 19 year old, bored with day-to-day life is taking a road trip seeking thrill along the way. On an empty and liffless road, he picks up Elijah, a 17 year old, running away from a cold and missunderstanding home. Little do Michael and Elijah know, that the other is planning to them.

Everyone has heard that hitchhiking can be very dangerous. Either the driver or the hitchhiker could be a killer.. what happens when two killers meet by hitchhiking? Do they live or do they kill each other? -)(- The description sucks but please bare with me as I am horrible with them. And for the record, this is an English assignment on writing a short story. My teachwas irritated when she saw it was on killers.
