The five drop into place, and become instant friends, because they are there for similar reasons. They bond over simple similarities, and form a bond like no other. Then, bad men come and try to take the four teens while the lady that runs the orphanage is out of town. Fleeing the orphanage, they swiftly become homeless, powerful teens, roaming the streets during the night, staying in the forest during the day. As they barely escape these bad men, they continue to get stronger, and so does their friendship.

The second book in this series follows up after the first with JJ still on the road to revenge of his brother's death. after helping Paige Welsh, Nathaniel decides to aid JJ in taking down Marina and the other criminal origination members. The trio gather and plan their next move as the enemy is closing in around them. In doing so, an unsuspecting player is introduced into the game.
