He has fathered two children - unknown to his lovers - to create a lifelong experiment. Jed knew about Dr J Marshall's (Marshall) secret and used this to blackmail him to assist with the removal of his wife to the local hospital. But Jed's wife did not die, and Marshall took the opportunity to use her comatose body to provide him with eggs for his latest genetic experiment. Shaun and Dorothy are undercover agents that work for the military establishment, and answer to nobody.
