Hope and Lizzie were enemies at first until something caused their relationship to change. This story takes place in season 1 legacies. I hope you enjoy it!

As soon as everyone turns 18 they find out who their soulmate is as something burns within them and the only cure is to find your soulmate to relieve the feeling inside. It's tricky though because a soulmate can die and if that's the case then it's very likely the person still left alive will never find another one. In very small cases the people can also never meet because of a reason or another. No one understands this whole soulmate thing but have followed it for years and everyone grows up wondering who it could be. Including Josie and Lizzie as of the morning of their birthday when they finally brace for who the soulmate is for both of them. Though on that fateful morning Lizzie wakes up with a pounding headache and a nasty nosebleed. When it subsides and she feels empty inside she is left wondering if her soulmate is truly out there or if the whole soulmate thing skipped her entirely.

Over the summer holidays, some of the students of the Salvatore Boarding School decided to get out to spend time with their loved ones. As well as Hope Mikaelson. She might not have her parents to visit, but she still had a lot of relatives that would love to see her again. But at the end of the holidays Hope changed. Something serious seemed to happen when she wasn't there. No one actually saw it. Except Lizzie. I do NOT own the tvdu or any character of it

The book revolves around Lizzie and Hope, who were once in a deeply loving relationship but broke up due to Hope's fear of losing Lizzie in a supernatural event called "the merge." !Hope is 19, and the twins and Penelope are 17. The book is far from canon.

"She's all that I really wanted. All that I carved." I whisper, leaning further into Penelope's chest. "But, part of me was terrified. Terrified that all this was wrong. That what I was feeling wasn't right, that the butterflies I felt were infected. I felt like dying. But a small part of me was curious. Curious to see if what I felt was real. To see if these feelings were true." I say, my voice cracking. Penelope kisses the top of my head, rubbing circles into my back. "So, I held her hand, I kissed her lips, I let her consume me in a raging fire. I let her have my heart, served on a silver platter, prepared and perfected for the taking. I let her know every crook and cranny of my brain, I let her inside the doors guarded by demons and dragons. I let her have all of me." I cry, finally letting the tears fall. The older girl tightens her grip on me, as if she was trying to put me back together.
