Ember Yarrow is enjoying her life post Hogwarts graduation. Working on her book about Ancient Magic, spending time with her friends in Hogsmeade and (most importantly) not thinking about the boy who chose dark magic over his friends during her fifth year. The same boy who now resides locked away in Azkaban for life. Stan and Kyle go to a restaurant to celebrate their graduation (Kenny and Eric dropped out in grade 11), and get food poisoning. It's pretty bad, so they have to go to the hospital for a few weeks. Will they die, get out of hospital and just stay friends or will they realise their feelings for each other?
