She always dreamed of performing on stage.
Instead, she became a cleaner at the Bellrose Theatre.
It isn't the life she imagined, but she doesn't mind. After all, she still gets to spend her days surrounded by the theatre she loves.
Until one night, after the audience has gone home, she hears footsteps on the stage.
Footsteps that aren't hers.
A melody follows.
The Sugar Plum Fairy.
She soon discovers an old programme for a performance of The Nutcracker-one that was never completed.
At the centre of it is Beth Adams, a young ballerina who died during the performance.
The strange part?
Beth's footsteps are still echoing through the theatre.
And she may not be the only performer waiting for the music to begin.
