Sin tener la menor idea del inmenso poder y la responsabilidad que acaba de guardar en su mochila, Ash emprende su viaje con un solo objetivo en mente: convertirse en Maestro Pokémon. Sin embargo, el mundo que lo rodea empieza a cambiar. Extrañas profecías del pasado comienzan a despertar y los Pokémon más antiguos parecen reaccionar ante su presencia.
