He look down at his hand, 'I'm gone, I'm no longer alive,' he turn around to look at Lan Wangji, "Wei Ying, please answer me." What will happen when Wei Wuxian reborn or got summon back to the living world again? What will he do when he see Lan Wangji again? What will he do when he remember what happen to Lan Wangji when he was watching over him as a spirit? Will he still be the same innocent Wei Wuxian or will he be Yiling Laozu Wei Wuxian again? Let's write this a little bit differently from my other stories after Wei Wuxian got summon back to the living world okay. This will be a xianwang stories. Xie Lian ascends for the third time!!! But a lot has changed in the heavenly realm. The emperor takes a liking to Xie Lian and a romance slowly blossoms between the two!! HuaLian are so darn precious... I know that scene where they rush into each other's arms at the end, when Hua Cheng returns a year after that fateful battle of Mt. Tonglu, required no words between them, the way MXTX wrote it.... It was perfect. But, but, I wondered what they would say to each other in the next moment, the moment after they had run into each other's arms. The three thousand lanterns in the sky... and so I wrote this little scene. PS: I am not an ungrateful fan :D Ofc we did get that epilogue with the inauguration of the rebuilt Puqi shrine and the calligraphy at Qiandeng Temple, and I am grateful for the extras... thank you, MXTX for being so gracious with those extras. ************************************************************************************************* No copyright infringement intended. He smelled like soap and lemon and fresh grass. 'Definitely. You stay careful too,' I whisper back. *** I look up at the sky. I wonder if the stars would be the same tomorrow.

I started out trying to explain why Hua Cheng is obsessed with pampering Xie Lian, and it went on for a bit until I realized where the scene ended... with HuaLian in each other's arms of course :) So, basically, Mu Qing visits, gets a sort-of crash course on HuaLian, is scared away by Xie Lian offering to cook dinner, and then HuaLian have their alone time in Puqi Shrine, which is absolute fluff at that point :D

I dunno where this is going. I guess it's more of a joke than me trying to write. I'll try not to put things related to the books but I don't really remember what happened in the books. Also inspired by a movie I watched.
