The epic tale of the company of Thorin Oakenshield has been recounted time and time again, an adventure unlike any other Middle-earth has seen. The story of how thirteen dwarves and a hobbit reclaimed the great kingdom of Erebor is not easily forgotten. The telling you may have heard, however, left some things out, maybe even someone. It would seem that through the many retellings, an elf was deprived of her deserved glory within this tale. This is the story of Laerornien, the daughter of Thranduil, the sister of Legolas, and the forgotten fifteenth member of the company of Thorin Oakenshield. In an attempt to save her people from the wrath of Thrór's dragon sickness, the elven princess sacrificed the heirlooms of her kin, the White Gems of Lasgalen. The consequence was banishment from her own kingdom. Sixty years later, she left her lonely sanctuary in Rivendell as a member of the company with her trust put in their leader, who had promised the return of the gems. The dwarves travelled with a common need to reclaim their home, and those gems would ensure the return of her own. Those who know the story know the grim end, but Laerornien's place in it deserves to be told. Her sacrifice did not end with her surrender of the gems, but with something much greater, and it saved the kingdom of Erebor when the final battle seemed lost. This is not the story you were told, but it may just be the story you were meant to hear. A girl will be a new member of Thorin's Oakenshiel's company . She will try to help them take their homeland back from the beast. But there's a secret. A secret that she keeps from everyone. Almost everyone except the one she trusts and loves...

After Thalana, a half-elf, daughter to Queen Calathiel, sister to Legolas and friend to Tauriel, gets banished by her Stepfather King Thranduil, she must find her own way through the dangerous world and joins forces with Thorin and his company. But why does she not want anything in return? What makes her hate orcs so badly and why does she risk her life to save those of the dwarves time and time again? I do not own the Hobbit or its characters. This is just a spin off Fanfiction. I do own my own character, Thalana. If anyone would like to use my idea they can ask me for permission.

But after the dragon-attack, her father stole her away to live out in the Wilds. Brynn has lived the past 57 years on her own, traveling from place to place, but never straying too far from her small cabin. She is a tough battle-maiden with many secrets and few friends. Now under the weary eye of Gandalf, Brynn must learn to adapt to her new surroundings and her unlikely attraction to her Companion and childhood friend Kili. But even more importantly, Brynn must learn who she is and what her role is on this Unexpected Adventure

He was coming back. It had been more than one hundred years since the holocaust at Erebor, more than one hundred years since she had spoken his name aloud. "Thorin," she whispered to the wind. She looked westward, able to just make out the stark pillar that was the Lonely Mountain. Did he really believe the portends? Could he possibly think he would find the legendary riches of Erebor unprotected? After all these years, would he listen to any warning? Though unsure he would even recall her name, she knew she would find no rest until she, at least, tried to tell him. One last time to the Lonely Mountain, this time not to charm the prince but to try and save a king.

Thorin has been protecting me since my parents died when I was just a wee bairn. I accepted him as my own father and I was proud to be called his daughter. I was raised with all the skills he would teach his own kin so when the time would come I would be able to protect myself. When Kili and Fili brought me along to Bilbo's house I became part of the company of Thorin Oakenshield. Violette is known with many names. Goblin assassin, Warrior and Orcs Worst Nightmare are one of the many names she is known by. With dark secrets, she keeps her hood up never taking it down. Dain comes and makes her head of the army. No dwarves know her secret that she is a girl but one day Thorin Oakenshield sends a letter and asks Dain to accompany him on an adventure. Dain says that he will send best soldier to him. Only Gandalf knowing her secret she tries to the secret hidden. But can she keep her secret hidden? Read the girl with many names out

A short story written for someone special. I made a slight change to the ending of The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies- specifically the Tauriel/Kili scene. SPOILER ALERT if you have not seen the movie.
