Outside of academics, River Valley University is well known for their ice hockey team, the River Valley Eagles. The shelves in the dressing room display trophies from two consecutive championship titles and continue to keep their place in the number one spot in their division. The opposite end of campus is home to one of the school's lesser-known competitive teams: River Valley's equine show team.
