Even when so when the world is destroyed, Sonic stuck in Hogs body continues to exist along with the Tenrec. Millennial has passed, they have somewhat reconciled but Scorched not entirely forgiven. But then an incident occurs when the cartridge containing Hog and Scorched got affected by some kind of weird energy causing them to glitch uncontrollably until they pop into existence.
