He just wants to finish his schooling and get on with his life. Draco Malfoy just wants to fade away, to go unnoticed and unbothered. He wants to find himself without his fathers ungodly expectations held over his head. He just needs to finish his last year at Hogwarts and then he goes free. After all, after letting Death Eaters into the school, failing to kill his headmaster, and being forced to serve a homicidal madman, how could finishing up his education *possibly* be interesting? Answer: a coveted Transfigurations advanced study position, Minerva Mcgonagall's surprising fondness for him, thestrals, tea with Hagrid, tutoring Harry Potter, Granger and Weasley's excessive PDA, and the perplexing nature of sleight-of-hand double-dates with Harry, Luna, and Ginny. And then, of course, there's righteously indignant (if misinformed) Weasley, Draco's own insecurities and flair for dramatics, and a long-suffering Kingsley Shacklebolt. If I can work in tie-switching and Great Hall relationship reveal I will, because those are some of my very favorite tropes.

Everyone has been held back a year at Hogwarts, due to the patchy education given during Voldemort's year of power. The Slytherin students can no longer act so cocky, and are being teased by the whole school. Who cares, they're Death Eaters! They deserve it all! But Harry is finding that he doesn't actually enjoy seeing his enemy of seven years become the most disliked student in school, for some strange reason...

A Drarry 8th year story. A now out of the closet Draco Malfoy returns to Hogwarts as the only Slytherin 8th year, in order to get the education he requires to become a healer. Many don't want him at the school and feel he deserves to be 'rotting in Azkaban' however his new found friendship with the saviour Harry Potter means this year won't be as awful as Draco was expecting. Their friendship grows quickly, but after Harry witnesses Draco with another boy, he is repulsed and fears he may be homophobic. However, Harry's friends see the true reason why Harry doesn't like seeing Draco with other people They will just have to try and get him to realise. Drarry story! 8th year! This is my first Drarry fanfic. I'm trying my best to update as regularly as possible, I have a few chapters already written and I've got quite a few ideas. Post battle of Hogwarts "8th year" of school. Harry and Ron have chosen to not return to Hogwarts and instead begin their Auror training. Hermione has chosen to return to Hogwarts to do her 7th year officially as an '8th year', take the N.E.W.T.'s and graduate. Draco Malfoy decides to redo his 7th year of Hogwarts schooling as well.
