Nach dem fünften Jahren Hogwarts steht eins für Elowen Nightcroft fest. Halt dich aus Problemen raus. Sie will sich von denen fern halten, die sie im letzten Jahr in Schwierigkeiten gebracht haben. Poppy, Natty und vor allem Sebastian Sallow. Im ersten Augenblick scheint das kein Problem für sie. Aber schon in der Zugfahrt wird ihr klar. Das wird definitiv nicht so ablaufen, wie sie es will. Alaric Thorne, ein ehemaliger Ministerium Angestellter ist dieses Jahr in Hogwarts um alle Spuren von verbotener Magie zu entferne. Das Ministerium hat unter anderem auch Sebastian unter Verdacht, den Mord an seinem Onkel begangen zu haben. Also muss Elowen Sebastian überwachen. Ein Auge auf ihn haben. Ihr gefällt das so gar nicht - ihm schon.
