Mean, sly, deceptive, selfish, cruel, and unpleasant. These are just a few of the words that describe Draco Malfoy. Kind, courageous, thoughtful, giving, logical, and loving. These are just a few of the words that describe Alice Albey. According to the basic understanding of these words, the two of them were about as opposite as opposites could be. And, despite the common saying, opposites do not distract. Have you ever heard of a Gryffindor and Slytherin coming together? On anything? If you have, you can probably count the instances on one hand. Indeed, a Slytherin and a Gryffindor are an unusual pair.
Throughout their 5 years at Hogwarts together, Draco has not had a single kind word to say about the infamous Harry Potter and his best friends Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, and Alice Albey. As a matter of fact, he hasn't had a nice thing to say about anyone his entire life... With the exception of himself of course. This year is going to be a humbling year for everyone. In the wake of Alice's mothers death, Alice finds herself building a wall around herself, closing herself off from her dearest friends. Draco finds himself with a yearning of finally being understood by someone. But he too has been building a wall around his true emotions almost his whole life. What's left is the edgy, cold and cruel exterior that shows itself in ways of being cruel to anyone and everyone. Both of them yearning with the need of some understanding, might lead them right to each other...
