Holby City Hospital's Darwin Ward of Cardiothorasic surgery is leading the way in the medical world, and being some of the most wanted surgeons makes life more than a little stressful. Mo, Ollie, Zosia and Matteo are pushed to new limits, as the old ones are broken, and their leader's icy facade is melting, revealing a vulnerable side. Relationships are tested, and patients cause mayhem on the ward. The hospital roof becomes refuge and gallons of coffee are digested. Are the Darwin team strong enough, or will they crack under pressure?

Paisley Larry is the daughter of Iain's childhood best friend Dave And his wife Alison Larry. Paisley has always been a good girl with a wild side. She's hadn't been able to get Iain out of her head so when she finally sees him again after almost 3 years will the feelings develop into something more personal? The pair know it's wrong with the age gap but when you love someone it shouldn't matter right. How will Paisleys parents take the news of finding out Iain is the father to little Annabella?

Poor Iain. Ruby has been caught in the fire inside the school. Ruby is laying there unconscious. When they rush Ruby to hospital Iain just prays if his girlfriend will survive despite the burns on her legs and on her face. When Iain finds out Ruby needs to be on a ventilator breathing for her he vows to stay with Ruby.

Jac and Zosia had been dating for two years after finally confessing their love for each other, Jac knew she couldn't live without Zosia in her life and decided it was time they tied the knot so soon she gets down on one knee and proposed to Zosia.
