WARNING: this takes place after the second book about Ilya and Shane by Rachel Reid. If you haven't read the books 'heated rivalry' and 'the long game' you might not understand this storyline. Two years after their wedding, Shane and Ilya both decided that it's time for them to start their own family. They knew it was gonna be a long process, but they knew they'd face it together. And then... there were Maeve and Elli. While Elli was a happy Child, singing all the frozen songs while walking to kindergarten, Maeve was her sisters opposite. And she was NOT a child anymore. She wouldn't bother to stay at the hollanovs for long. She knew, it'd only be a matter of time for them to pick Elli but not Maeve.

Lena Irina Rozanov is the adopted daughter of Ilya Rozanov. Her mother died in the hospital bed shortly after giving birth to her. After that, her father turned to drugs and eventually died from an overdose. At that time, Ilya Rozanov was nineteen years old. He saw an advertisement about her in the newspaper. Because of his own past, he knew he had to do something for this little girl. Two weeks later, they saw each other for the first time at the adoption center. Ilya was certain that this girl would turn his whole life upside down. His career in Boston had only just begun, but he was willing to do anything to call this girl his daughter. And so it happened: less than a month later, he suddenly had a two-year-old child living in his home. In the beginning, things were a bit difficult, but as time passed they slowly began to get used to each other. P.S This story takes place during the same time period as Heated Rivalry, but it will not always follow the exact same timeline.

Since so many of you over on my TikTok @heatedmidnight loveeee the Hollanov family texts with Shane, Ilya, Isabella, Sebastian, Juliette and Riley I thought I would make a series of short stories of chaos throughout the Hollander-Rozanov family's daily life!

Also, she has a rival on another team, Nick Moreau. But she has to figure out who the real rival is: Nick or Lela. What happens when Irina becomes more emotionally closed off with everyone, even her family? All the while, she finds out that she is more alike with her Dads than ever before. 'Give them space, Rozanov!' 'Is he alright?' 'Rozanov, get back!' 'Is he alright?! Fucking tell me!' The ref just kept a hand on his shoulder, keeping him a short distance away from Shane and the medics. The medics, who were... doing CPR. Secrecy be damned. 'SHANE! SHANE!' OR Shane's injuries were worse. Much worse.
