When Matilda Redwood was found guilty of witchcraft, she was sure her life was over, little did she know it had only just begun. Fanfiction based off the book. This is set before Abe's arrival in the loop. All of the other children are in the loop. I do not own Miss Peregrine's home for peculiar children or any of the charecters. I do own Matilda Redwood.

(Crooked Crown is a rewrite of "We're doomed." and just like WD, it takes place after Library Of Souls. BUT! I will use some elements from A Map of Days, so if you haven't read it, then don't read this fanfic. Let's say it's like an alternate universe.) Since it's a rewrite, it has a similar plot, but I still changed some things and I'm trying to write it better this time. Edit: it is better than WD tbh lmao) While Miss Peregrine stays with her wards at her brother's house, Kim and Nim are secretly working on something big. Even though they have good intentions, they have no idea that their machine will birth something horrible back into the world. Peculiardom is exposed to the same terrible reign once again, but this time more wicked. (And again there will be some ocs of mine here. But not really the ones who were in WD, this time there will be fewer ocs, probably. (It can be hard to write with so many characters haha.))

This is a 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' alternate universe (AU) where Abraham Portman was declared missing, and presumed dead, a year before sixteen-year old Jacob Portman and his family finally decide to clean out the old man's house. Will one particular object in Abraham's pile of belongings prove itself to be a trail of breadcrumbs in the forest? Will it lead Jacob to his grandfather's old friends, if they're still, by any chance, alive? Enoch has always been quiet, he hates being around people but he did become curious when Emma brought two teenagers, who where obviously siblings, to the house.
