As Web joins the Troupe and finds it's old master after years of being missing. The troupe faces the reality that once they join the ritual there is no going back. Until small scientist intents to stop it before it infects Hallownest. This AU it's a typical "main characters switch places" with a huge twist and a splash of original characters. (Also they are humans in this au! :D just to make it easier for me to distinguish them and to describe them) As I made this AU I took a bunch of liberties, which means that most of the lore on this au doesn't match with the original game lore. This is specifially inspired by the comic Hollowtale by TheJessofMess (Deviantart) This does have some significant changes as there are story changes and new characters added. These will be Void and Siiva, who are both vessels, and Theisa and Rayzelline. Thought it would be good to add a quick note here; Underlined - puns Italics - Emphasis Bold - Vessel's talking with chirps, which non vessel characters cannot understand.

Eyes opening slowly, the feeling of dread consuming not only the mind but the body, sore throat, lungs hurting, a headache and the sound of ringing continuing to get louder. What happened? The sounds of ringing slowly fading, the voices of others screaming, the yells and pleads of bugs, the sight of running, the sight of red. Fires consuming corners of the streets, the sounds of sirens, the patter of feet, the rubble of buildings once grand covering bodies. What's happening? Hornet found herself in this strange state of consciousness, her thoughts echoing throughout her head, the feeling of blood leaking from her body, the realization that she was stuck under the rubble of her own café. That was where it all began, the world as she knew it was gone slowly after, no more smiles or sounds of laughter. ------------- 'What happened to us? What happened to the world? Where did we go wrong? Is this simply our punishment?' Hornet, a young traveler and hunter of the wastelands. The infection claimed many bugs in the lands of Hallownest, now she's alone and travelling throughout the remains of the civilisation that once stood high. Hearning news that her siblings are still alive gives hope and purpose to Hornet once more. Now she searches for them, and prays to whatever god is listening that they are safe. On her travels she'll meet other strange bugs, and together they might manage to survive. But will the stern and cold Hornet accept their kindness? Or will she simply walk on her own? Modern au/technology etc is a thing and the characters used to live normal "human" lives before the chaos unfolded. This story will contain mature themes, swearing, gore, drinking and sexual themes. Might contain ships like Grimm x Hornet, Quirrel x Hornet and Ghost x Grimmchild- (however its just a possiblity and I don't know if I'm going to add it to the story or not) ⚠️⚠️Cover art belongs to me! In the wake of The Radiance's defeat and the vanquishing of the infection, Hollownest has transformed into the bustling metropolis of Hollow City. Technological wonders abound, and vessels roam freely with newfound independence. But for one vessel, Wyre, awakening after a millennium-long coma, this new world is a strange and unfamiliar place. As he tries to adapt, old enemies resurface and new threats loom on the horizon. There may also be something completely new in the near future. This story will change A LOT of things from the main story of Hollow Knight so if you don't like then don't read.

When Hallownest finally seems to be peaceful after Ghost had befriended many bugs and other vessels, a new threat in combination with the radiance rises, soon radiance and this new threat work together, and proceed to cause havoc in hallownest once more. Each chapter is going to be from someone else's point of view, and tell a different story until they all collide later on-

Through the years to come, Liness will learn more about the infection threatening to overtake the land and will discover the secrets and sacrifices her family has made to save their beloved kingdom. Will Liness be able to save Hallownest from its horrible fate? Or will she fail and watch it turn into ruin? All of the art inside and the cover of this book is all created by me.
