And the closer El gets to bringing Vought down, the more she discovers that the most dangerous thing in her life isn't the company that created her. It's the man who grew up in the cage beside hers. As governments fall, alliances fracture, and war looms on the horizon, El must decide whether she can save the world without becoming the very thing she was created to be. -- (OCXVARIOUS) Dark romance vibes, toxic romance vibes. -- Follows the canon story mostly, so if you've watched the show this story will more than liking have all the same triggers. Homelander and Sofia have survived each other. The question now is whether they can exist together with everything the other carries, and everything neither of them was allowed to be. Sofia searches for the life that was erased. Homelander searches for something he was never taught to want. As they drift beyond the purpose they were engineered for, Vought calculates how long it will be before choice becomes a liability.
