Alexandra had her life on track. Her grades were rising, she was making friends and was successfully forgetting about the life she left behind. However, all that turns to dust when the very thing that she was running away from, finally catches up to her. It's only a matter of time before everything she feared comes to life. A compelling story about betrayal, lies, homesickness and a hint of murder-mystery. Read this while its fresh, times ticking!

I decided to translate something I wrote a while ago into French, and certain parts of it seem more poignant now. I will be living abroad in France and Russia for the next year and a half, and this poem speaks of the homesickness that I am sure to feel. It is also about the difficulty in self-expression, even in your own language, and how heightened that is when trying to communicate in a second language.

In that gentleness is a burden that no one else feelings, and no one else can describe. It's difficult to live in a world so unkind, so uncaring, especially when Chihiro's gentleness has been repaid time and again with hatred. That all changes when she meets a group of heroes that make her feel more welcome than she has ever felt in her entire life. Β©-celestialsuneater

What if- what if you feel this homesickness for a home you can't return to? Or worst, a home that was never yours? "Let's... let's just go." I offered my hand on him. "And never come back?" Then my tears started to fall over and over again. But what if this home is yours but you can't take it? It's yours but you can't own it? Or worst, it's yours but the destiny won't let you take it? "We just can't be together." I think something blocked my throat because of what I said. "We can. But you won't let us." And tears started to stream in my cheeks. "We can't. We can't because you are not mine to the first place." And that made him stunned. There are times that we love the wrong person. But there are also times that we love in the wrong times until we can't have that right time. I suddenly felt my tears and heard my sobs. I waited for the right time but he did not. He did not because I am seeing him with someone else now. Someone else and not me. "You are not mine. And I think, you will never be."

Kyoya's fond of Haruhi. Very fond. But he doesn't dwell on it. He's far too busy networking at Harvard to think about his best friend's not-quite girlfriend. Unfortunately, back in Tokyo, Tamaki seems equally busy - on the important task of driving Kyoya mad. Does Tamaki really think Kyoya will wither away and die if he's not kept updated on Haruhi's every move? Apparently yes. But Kyoya's an Ootori. There's no situation, no matter how annoying, that can't be twisted to his own advantage. Isn't there? [An Ouran High School Host Club fanfic] [Kyoya/Haruhi] [Teen-rated] [Complete: 14 chapters / 57k words] [A/N: This fic is a shameless mix of both anime and manga canon, but can be read by fans of either. At the end of the manga, Haruhi wins a scholarship to study abroad for a year in Boston, and the host club follow her there. The story is set when that year is over, and the majority of the host club return to Japan.]

Joanna is about to turn nineteen, freshly moved into college, and fairly content with her small town life. The average disasters of a college freshman are inevitable for her, and her only struggles seem to be algebra and getting around town without a car. Theo Cavanaugh is determined to reconnect with his childhood love, and will stop at nothing to win her affections. His carelessness affects people dear to Joanna's heart, creating complications in their recently renewed friendship. Joanna's faced with lots of decisions that she's never had to make before. Suddenly ripped jeans and homesickness are the least of her problems. College is a lot more than dirty laundry and bad cafeteria food. It's juggling boys, friends, school, and a faith Joanna didn't know she had. What seems to Joanna a rigged game is what people around her call "life." And she's not ready for it.
