She despises the Gids for not helping on of their own, and tries to live her life as normally as she can. But when the old king appears at random, she's confused and terrified. Especially after finding out that her fate was written by the very people who she hates. Pearl has to walk a path that she never agreed to, not only against her will, but with people who are too valuable in her life. And to top everything off, her destiny is to kill the new king.
