The fifth installment of Honesty is the Best Policy, starring Sonic, Shadow, my OC Honest, and a hundred other characters from the Sonic series and even beyond! WOW this is the first of my stories to be written at the time it is being published. {w/Sonic} was typed a full year before I uploaded it, {w/Snow} was never meant to be published for the longest time, and {Café Edition} was based on someone else's plot, and I started with their first chapter before scrapping it and starting right in the middle of things to confused EVERYBODY. Please read the beginning of chapter 1 for an actual description of the book. This was just me rambling. :3 I hope you enjoy this book! Follow me for updates to all of my stories! NOTICE: I ran out of muse for this story, so I've decided to make the Shadow Eggman storyline a part of Comic Edition over on my second account @Heartsthekitteh I might update this story in the distant distant future, but until them, consider this story to-be-continued. Sorry and thank you for reading C: This story is for anyone who has ever thought "Hm. Has anyone ever written a fanfiction from Doctor Eggman's point of view?" You're welcome. After getting his teaching degree, Doctor Eggman has been working his dream job teaching a robotics class at the local high school. However, Eggman's work-in-progress portal creating device turns from a harmless pet project into a full-scale pet mess when a duplicate of himself is accidentally unleashed on Mobius called "Shadow Eggman". Also, the Author has apparently declared him the main character of his own story and put him in charge of creating a new character using details on the process of creating Shadow that she had Scourge steal from the GUN archives. As if there wasn't already enough on his plate, a new teacher, Doctor Finitevus, is teaching a shady new class called "psychaotology" and would much rather give Eggman vague details and hints as to what it is than just tell him outright, even claiming that Honest rescued him from a void of nothingness he's been floating in for the past year. Maybe Eggman will just spontaneously combust from the pressure. That can happen, too, right? This Egg is thoroughly Scrambled.

I guess having a new book for every new major Sonic game is becoming a thing in this story. Hm. Anyway, in this new entry in the Honesty is the Best Policy! continuing story, Dr. Eggman gets a job at the school as a villianous math teacher, Mephiles reaks havoc on not only Honest and her friends, but the fourth wall as well, and we get new characters whether we want to or not. Be sure to read {Cafe Edition} alongside this for the rest of the story as well as to be able to follow the Sonic characters after school in the afternoons. Oh, and please feel free to offer your thoughts on the story as you read! I enjoy talking to other Sonic fans.

This story focuses on Rosy the Rascal and her conflict with a green pineapple. I am going to try not to stray from this topic by accidentally studying other characters and relationships (though I'll have to admit that Shadow and Rouge and Shadow and Infinite are a little tempting). To sum up Honesty is the Best Policy as a whole, it is a fanfiction turned psychological drama. It is separated into several different stories, each new story continuing from where the previous one stops. Some are called {____ Edition}, while others are called {w/____}. The editions are books focusing on a specific situation, problem, or occurring at a specific time. Books ending with "w/" and then a character's name are focusing on a specific character. At the same time as I'm publishing new parts of this story, you will find that another story is being updated as well, {Café Edition}. It is recommended that you follow that book as well as this one in order to get the full story. Both that story and this one are happening at the same time. The characters work at the café in the afternoons and go to school during the day. The previous books, in order, are as follows: {w/Sonic}, {w/Snow}, and {Forces Edition}, with {Café Edition} occurring all throughout these books beginning with {w/Snow}. My next book is called Rouge Tape. It is not a part of this series. Instead, it is a written form of the game Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) in which I attempt to piece everything together by inserting a new character, Rouge the Bat, in order to observe and recount the events. If you are confused about any of the characters in this story, please visit my OC book. I will be posting descriptions of the Sonic characters as they appear in my stories as well as some of my own characters. Also, if any event or sequence in this story is hard to understand, don't be afraid to comment on that part and ask me what it means. I will either explain it or rewrite that part. Honest the Cat has been pen pals with Sonic the Hedgehog for nearly two years. One day she moved to Mobotropolis to be closer to her friend, but ended up taking on his friends as well. Honest made friends with almost every single one of them, but the one she didn't like as much ended up becoming her best friend. Honest doesn't know what she's getting into with him as her friend when he agrees to help the evil Doctor Eggman gather all seven Chaos Emeralds with hope that the Doctor will succeed in getting memories of his past back to him. Honesty is the Best Policy! ... Gender Bent! :D In this story, all of the characters are girls! I realized that all of the characters that mean something to the story are boys. Shadow, Sonic, Scourge, Mephiles, Silver... The only girl main characters are Honest and Akane, but even Akane is never really a big part of the plot like the rest of the guys. So! I decided that I will make another spin-off story that will be a taste of what Sonic would be like if it was an anime game. Shadow the Tsundere... Sonic the Athletic Pervert (that's a personality type, right? XD)... Scourge the Delinquent girl... Mephiles the creepy, dead-silent girl... Silver the nerdy, annoying, and outgoing girl... XDDD I will have so much fun writing this!!! - Description typed 4/14/2017 btw.
