Seonghwa has feelings for Hongjoong ever since they met. Now, that they're in Ateez, Seonghwa is probably the only person who understands what Hongjoong is going through. So, they've developed a routine. Late at night, Hongjoong would crawl out of his own bed, walk into Seonghwa's room and lie down on his lap, telling his worries. And maybe, just maybe, looking at Seonghwa's sympathetic face did something to his heart.

"I...ever since I confessed my feelings to him, everything just turned into a mess. I don't know what he really feels towards me. Sometimes, he treats me as a friend, other days, he clings to me too much, and most days, I don't know...he treats me like I am just a dust in the air, unseen, unnoticed...non-existent," he said as tears pool down his face. The way Hongjoong treats him can only be described in one word, confusing. This was their eighth date already. Originally, Hongjoong had something else planned for this day but after seeing Seonghwa down, he wanted to put a smile on his face again. So, Hongjoong just thought he would take Seonghwa to the beach he used to visit with his parents. ~~ He fell in love with the sea. And he now perhaps fell in love with the one standing right in front of him, feet in the sand as he wore the biggest smile while collecting sea shells.
