Where the Horizon Breaks is a fantasy about loneliness, healing, and surviving long enough to become yourself.

Clarke disappeared without saying goodbye. Which is inconvenient, because he was Penny's best friend for twenty years. Now she's left juggling an after-school program full of brutally honest kids, an older sister who occasionally turns into a flesh-eating monster, and the uncomfortable realization that life has the audacity to keep moving. As Penny slowly builds unexpected friendships and learns that not everyone disappears, she begins to wonder if healing has less to do with finding the people you've lost... and more to do with noticing the ones who never left. A funny, heartfelt story about grief, monsters, and ordinary Tuesdays.

Josie moved eleven hundred miles to escape a man who wouldn't let her go. New town, new job, new locks on every door - until the IT guy at the veterinary clinic starts noticing things he has no reason to notice: which car doesn't belong in the parking lot, which lock she skipped, a name buried in her family's past that nobody was ever supposed to find. He wasn't supposed to notice her. She wasn't supposed to notice him back. But as her ex closes in and a hundred-year-old family secret starts surfacing, the two of them are running out of time to decide who's actually worth trusting - and what the truth is going to cost everyone who's been hiding from it.

I'm tired of the Instagram version of romance. Romance isn't found in a gift box. It's found in the person who stays. I found a wish I buried in my 2023 notes app. It was a wish for a love found in intertwined fingers, midnight walks, and the last piece of cake. I realized then that the most romantic thing someone can give you isn't an object. It's their attention, their memory, and their time. I found that note again today. Reading it now, I realize that love isn't about the grand "I love you" anymore. It's about the person who does the crazy stuff just to make me smile and the one who lets me have the last bite. It's been three years, and my heart hasn't changed. This is my raw, unfiltered truth. Just a collection of the tiny gestures we usually overlook.
