When she was three, a little girl was placed in a dumpster to be protected from the war. Now, she's 16. Her town is deserted. All the people there are dead. She can't live there anymore. She decides to leave. She's attacked by coyotes and is saved by a large man whose 7 year old daughter Bessie goes along with the 16 year old girl to find a new life. When they reach another village, you can tell that there is a war going on there. They see one team and another, fighting to the death. The two girls quickly recognize their side. But the 16 year old girl soon falls in love with a boy on the other other side. Even though she knows it's bad, she's deeply on love with him She's a Hopegiver. Can this stop the war?
