Yet, despite his newfound safety, Dogday remained cautious and skeptical. Trust did not come easily for him after the traumas he had experienced. Everything changed when he met Craftycorn, a kind-hearted female unicorn struggling with a grave illness caused by kidney failure. With her shimmering coat and gentle spirit, Craftycorn resonated with a familiarity that stirred something deep within Dogday. As they bonded over their trials, he felt the walls around his heart begin to crack. Would this brave unicorn, facing her own battles, be the key to helping Dogday reclaim the joy he had lost? A Smiling Critters one-shot book! This will feature ships, stories that may or may not be canon to any Chapter of Poppy Playtime and even the Smiling Critters playing certain games! I do not own the Smiling Critters, the games or any other Poppy Playtime characters mentioned herein.

this is the new one, don't read the one one it's bad. btw pretty much everything is the same except thanks to simon (i'm adding the nightmare critters btw), i made crafty back into a unicorn and I plan to touch on that more. also the story will just be better thought out because I'm not just making it up as I go (what i mean is i was making new plot points without making an effort for them to flow smoothly into the previous ones in the last one, which is something i won't do here since i have a timeline for the story set in my head.) I also wrote out all the unnecessary characters, so now it's just the critters + anyone important to the story (say Godfrey, Elliot, Andy etc.) with all that mumbo jumbo out of the way, i hope you enjoy the new and improved smiling critters story :D

PROLOG Catnap yawned. It was another tiring day at school, so he lay down on his bed. Mrs Delight gave them a test today about Science. Catnap hated it. But as he walked inside, Catnap froze. His house was a mess. "...Hello?" Catnap called out. He walked inside hesitantly. Waiting to use his red gas if needed. But then, he saw a note. With a poppy flower drawing on the front. "What's this?" Catnap asked himself as he opened the note. WAKE UP. The note read. Showing a drawing of a young boy sitting on his bed. A hand climbing out from underneath. "What the-?! Who would ever make this!?" Catnap balled the note, stomping towards the kitchen. He looked around. KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK. Catnap jumped. He looked at the window and- END OF PROLOG. Hope you enjoy! This fanfic will be about the in-cartoon universe of Smiling Critters. Mostly inspired by those animations made by inubis on YouTube! But what happens when things start getting weird? Catnap stops showing up to class. Or games. He starts avoiding everyone, and spends more time in the forest. What is he hiding?

Cece knew for a fact that something was wrong when she got a letter from her brother's old job. It said that the employees were still there, that they needed help. Playtime Co. had shut down for unknown reasons. Her brother had been fired anyways, so why were they requesting help from him, of all people? This is a sequel to my story CatNap Back in Time, since the events in here are happening directly in that new timeline. After the Prototype was killed, the army forces investigated the factory to rescue the lost ex-employee who entered without authorization. What they found out soon became a scandal to the entire world who couldn't believe that a factory would create monsters out of children. What they also didn't know what that some surviving experiments went on missing. But they were not any group of survivors. They are rejected Smiling and Nightmare Critters that gathered together after escaping Playtime Co.'s madness and now have to survive the world outside, which belongs to the species that enslaved them for so long and the same species they had extinguished in the Hour of Joy. While they survive as much as they can, report went on of new living toys being created eventually causing havoc in the US. It seems like some files were stolen by someone who wanted to continue what Sawyer began. How will the Hunting Critters survive this new world? Warning: OCs only.
