Reynard Oncera goes through great pains to make himself look like an ordinary T'sivetan citizen. He has a simple desk job, he lives in a nondescript apartment, he pays his taxes and rides the commuter trains like everyone else. But Reynard has never been an ordinary citizen. He's friends with the prince Jack Lupino, he belongs to one of the oldest lineages in T'sivetan history, and he's a mix between two species that shouldn't have come together in the first place, leaving a mark of his terrible family history on him. What's worse: Reynard is haunted by the ghost of a murdered relative from two hundred years ago. Reynard is convinced the malicious spirit wants to drag him with it and make him suffer in order to gain peace of it's own before passing on. Reynard himself decides to undergo an investigation of the ghost to see how he can possibly rid himself of it, but as he lives and works in the shadow of the ruins of the Oncera Manor a strange shadow seems to develop over the course of his case, one that will have to make him face the atrocities of his family's past.
