For me, horror is not all about the scares, it's all about the story. 5 scary tales are about to haunt you at night. We are watching you, there's no way to escape.

This is my first attempt at writing a horror story. If there's any aspect that can be improved, please let me know. "The Reaping Shadow" is a suspenseful and atmospheric horror story set in the haunting locale of Raven's Hollow. The narrative follows Eliza, a forensic psychologist with a deeply rational mind, who returns to her ancestral home to unravel the mystery behind the town's harvest season terror and her brother's disappearance. As she delves into her family's dark past, Eliza uncovers an ancient pact with a malevolent entity known as the Reaping Shadow, which demands a yearly tribute and has cursed her bloodline for generations. The town is plagued by eerie occurrences, from phantom footsteps to blood-curdling screams emanating from the forest, leading to a palpable sense of paranoia among the residents. Eliza's investigation leads her to a hidden chamber beneath her family estate, filled with relics of arcane rituals, confirming that the Reaping Shadow is not merely a myth but a tangible threat.

Do I still get nightmares or is it real? This question rolls in my mind forever. She was the one who made me do this. No I was the one...she never told me to do it...but why I did such a stupid thing...why even I went there after knowing that the place is haunted. Oh I can't get over myself. She has trapped me and I can't escape it.
