But when she must get another horse for the academy, Veronica doesn't want to be "the spoiled rich girl" at her new school, even though the academy is full of other rich riders. So she keeps it a secret, lies to her friends in school, and starts to believe her own lies too. She fools everyone but Kenzie Stoneman. She learns Veronica's secret and lets everyone know, Veronica will do whatever it takes to earn her friends' trust back, even if there is a twist in the story no one can prevent.

My names Tana and I have a Dutch Warmblood horse named Turk, short for Turkey. People call us the T Team, we're the best team in the USA of 18 and under. I live in Tennessee and ride at Cathland Farms. I had a great life. Everyday I would go down and ride and spend time with Turk. One day things changed, I riding Turk at my biggest competition ever. All of a sudden, the timer fell off the wall and Turk and got spooked. He bucked me off but my foot got stuck. He was cantering all over the place while I was getting dragged. I hit the jumps and walls, I went to the hospital with many of my bones broken. Now, my life has never been the same.
