A young horse with a promising future, a steady eddy gelding that has taken her up the levels in eventing, and a working student position under a prominent trainer in Spokane, Washington. She finds herself in a bit of a situation when she blows up her whole life and leaves a toxic working student position. Left with her three horses, her truck, and trailer, she sets off to travel across the country in search of a fresh start. When her truck breaks down in the middle of nowhere, South Dakota, Ellie thinks her luck can't get any worse. However, her life takes a turn when a barn owner discovers that Ellie isn't just any other horse owner down on her luck. She has a proposition for Ellie that leads her down a path she didn't expect.

Not coming from a horsey family was hard for her growing up in the equestrian community. She developed a love for horses at the age of five, and that's when she met her: Dandelion. A stunning palomino-pinto Anglo Arabian. Amber had a talent for horses. She excelled at whatever she did and soon became a well-known rider in the community. At age 9, they bought Dandelion. She continued to blow everyone out of the water with her skill, riding especially well in eventing competitions. By age 14, she was competing nationally and was selected to partake in the Olympics when she turned 16. Overjoyed, she and her family pack for the memorable moment. Dandelion was also pumped, and they set out for their destination. Back at home after the Olympics, Newspeople crowd around her small quiet lesson stable. What used to be a peaceful place to ride has now become a picture-perfect danger to horse and rider. A horrible accident sends Amber's reputation as a rider and her social life plummeting. Stress and pressure claws at Amber, and she feels overwhelmed, like a spout with too much water. Then, an opportunity: A quiet island off the coast of England. They quickly find a place to stay and a stable to ride at, but is this island as peaceful as it seems? Will Amber's troubles follow her everywhere she goes? Will she ever have the confidence to compete again?

Back in the days of pioneers, and cattle drives, if you followed a dirt road, somewhere in South Dakota, you would reach a little farm; nestled into a valley of sweeping hills, surrounded by rugged peaks, tipped with snow. This picturesque valley was home to a family, called the Larsens. The Larsens farmed wheat, raised a few cattle, and kept horses. My hope is that you will be drawn into the lives of these fictitious characters, and enjoy reading the story just as much as I have enjoyed writing it.
