This story is in the Kaiju No.8 AU, but after the main battle. Just don't mind that Hoshina still has his arm. I hope you enjoy! Akira Hoshino, is our protagonist. I had her before I watched Kaiju no. 8, so the similarities in their names are unintentional. Prologue: A long time ago, Akira was on her way home, when a large-scale kaiju attack happened. She believed no one would save someone like her, but she was planning to end it all anyway, so it was fine. Everyone hated her anyway. What a freak she was.. And yet, a gentle, kind, and caring hand reached out to her, yelling, "Don't let go! Grab on to me!" The owner of the voice and hand was majestic. She saw hope when she saw him. And so, ever since, she admired him. No, she loved him. She joined the JAKDF, hoping to be in his division. The idea of being commanded by him was great. Then, she was put into the 1st Division, right under his enemy, Gen Narumi.
