It was supposed to be a sin amongst their kind. Loving someone whose life lasted a heartbeat compared to theirs. But then she came along. A girl that made them question all they stood for in their eternal lives. They try to make her insignificant, try to fight the feelings they knew would only leave them all in heartbreak, but they are stuck. Stuck between wanting to leave her or embrace the fact that they care too much to leave her behind. They want to embrace what's left of their frayed humanity and accept her, but they, the most feared creatures, the monsters of the night, are scared of love. Because when their kind and her kind mix together, nothing good ever comes out of it.

I've realized something in my days of searching for Danganronpa fanfiction. My favorite good boys Gonta and Ryoma don't have many fanfictions at all. All Ryoma's fanfictions usually end in him (or you) dying, which makes me really sad.
