While Daddy Mayo Mags is known for grotesque, absurdist chaos...think mayo-slicked madness, deranged antiheroes, and violent pastry showdowns... Midnights strips all that away. It's tender. Sincere. Hauntingly grounded in reality. There are no unreliable narrators or bootleg cowboy bartenders here, just one nurse, one patient, and the kind of midnight moments that don't require embellishment to feel surreal. This isn't fiction. This is the truth that turns you a little softer.

Hey, I work in hospice,. And it taught me more about life - then death. And more about myself, then anyone else. And I have also absolutely no idea how to process the things I experience, other then poetry. When I started working in my current job as a nursery school teacher in an intensive care facility I searched for a place to put all my thoughts and what I found was very little and mainly for adult people. So this will be a place for me to put my thoughts and poems in. Maybe it'll help someone out there. So if you like sad, tragic, beautiful poetry, this is for you. And, to every single person out there, working in Healthcare and social services. Thank you. You're the true heros.

Harper is a young, newly graduated hospice nurse living in Grand Junction, Colorado. She's had a hard life, and has finally reached her goal. But she's not ready to share her past, or let down her walls again. Alma is a 99 year old decrepit woman with a terminal illness. She's grumpy and rude, and has also had a difficult past. She's hiding from anyone who tries to get close to her, afraid they'll uncover her secrets and cause her to remember everything she's hid away for so long. Can Harper and Alma, two women with very different stories of tragedy and hopelessness, help each other come out of hiding? After All is a story of struggle, pain, and an unlikely friendship that will have readers laugh and cry as they dig deep into the lives of two women and all they carry in their hearts. It's the story of life and death, poverty and luxury, hope and brokenness. Discover the deepest of friendship as you look into yourself and the person you are-on the inside. Copyright 2018

The theater was packed. The audience cheered wildly. Joshua was beyond himself with pride and happiness. It was a dream come true. He felt a lump in his throat and tears fought not to spill from his eyes. He could not help remembering how it all started. MOONLIGHT SONATA. Author: Samuel Garrido. She volunteers where people go to die. In hospital corridors heavy with silence and last breaths, she listens to stories, holds trembling hands, and learns the shape of grief before it arrives. And always, watching from the edges of the room, cloaked in shadow and inevitability, stands Death himself. No one else can see him. He does not speak to her. He does not acknowledge her. He simply appears wherever life is thinning, collecting souls with reverence and restraint. Yet every time she senses him near, dread coils with longing. An attraction she knows she should not feel. A presence she knows she should not want. When their paths finally collide, the universe begins to fracture. As Death breaks ancient laws to protect her, time falters, lives linger too long, and fate itself starts to unravel. Drawn together by something neither fully understands, they discover that love between the living and the eternal is not forbidden because it is impossible, but because it changes everything. And as her body begins to change in ways no mortal should survive, she is forced to ask a question no one has ever answered: What waits after the heart stops... when death is no longer the end?
