Tony is tired of people assuming he has no brains, because of his Phys Ed Degree. He decides to do long distance learning. He sees a seminar run by Dr Spencer Reid, the two become friends. The BAU comes up with a case that could eventually include naval personnel, Spencer knows who to contact.

After leaving a cryptic message with JJ, Spencer takes a few days off to go on an adventure of self-discovery. Aaron fears the worst and goes after him. Unbeknownst to them, someone else is following them and knows their every step, leaving behind a string of bodies. As Spencer and Aaron grow together, a pillar of darkness seeks to tear them apart. Will the BAU catch the stalker-turned-killer in time to save them both?

Spencer Reid and Aaron Hotchner always seemed to have a strange sort of tension between them. The rest of the BAU always assumed it was because of their "shared daddy issues", as Rossi would say, but what happens when it turns out that the two had dated in highschool and through college? Through the means of some light harassment and no small amount of threats and blackmail, the BAU team is about to find out. AKA: I decide that no one in the team has uncomfortable age gaps :) and then I explore how Reid and Hotch's childhood trauma would fuck them up as teens ;)

"Forgive and forget All the while Love and pain Become one in the same In the eyes of a wounded child" After 13 years of trying to forget the man he was supposed to call his father, Spencer finds his phone riddled with messages from his father trying to catch up on "old times". He's met with criticism and shame when he reveals he has no want to talk to him. Everyone seems to think his father deserves a second chance. Everyone except for him. Aaron Hotchner. Logically it made no sense, Aaron had a kid of his own, would he not sympathize with his father for wanting to have a relationship with his son? Spencer finds comfort in the older man, even more so now than ever. Everytime his phone buzzes with a notification from William Reid, Aaron is always there to comfort him and distract him from the burning hole in his back pocket.

Spencer Reid doesn't often experience happy moments in his life, but that changes when a kind, handsome stranger steps in to support him during a challenging time in his failed unhappy marriage.
