They were best friends- maybe even more, though they never sorted it out. Senior year on Jaeyun's birthday- they did something they shouldn't have that tore their friendship apart and tossed them to opposite ends of the world. Three years later, in his third year of university, Sunghoon was no longer the small speck of a child he had been back then. He was now Park Sunghoon, the youngest figure skater to ever bring gold back to Korea from the Olympics and the heir to Korea's biggest family fortune. Sim Jake as he was now known, was the best model in the fashion industry- an ambassador for almost all the biggest names in fashion and also a member of the group enhypen. When the two boys found out about each other's elements, everything took a new turn, oh and now they're roommates again, and the plot only thickens. Roommates is a soulmate au where your element presents itself on your 18th birthday and you can find your soulmate when you kiss them. Physical contact with anyone will allow you to feel their element. People have tried to settle down in unmatched pairs where the partners are not soulmates, but if your relationship doesn't split within one week of it becoming official, your element will start to fade until the relationship between the elements is blocked. The six elements and the Hwasin, the goddess of all elements and peace, created what is now called, Heavenly pairs. Heavenly pairs are a pair of two soulmates that have elements that match together, they are rare but they hold a connection that regular soulmates couldn't achieve. And they are paired as so: fire is with ice, air is with water and earth is with metal by Hwasin, the goddess of all elements and peace

Okay just imagine.... Everybody has a spot on there wrist that gets hot or cold depending on how close you are to your soulmate. You wouldn't even know it's there until last year (2045)'s break through. If you hadn't heard, somehow , anyway scientists found a new chemical called Sehri. Because of this breakthrough a new theory was created. Everybody has Sehri in them, largest amounts are near the wrist. Sehri has a force almost like a magnet except only similar types of Sehri attract, we still don't know why but the closer they get the hotter they get. Your wrist won't burn you but it may have a reddish pinkish glow to it. The farther away from the same type of Sehri as you the colder your wrist may get and with it will comes a blueish glow. Now these temperatures aren't extreme so that's why people didn't notice them before. The colors are very faint but if you look at them they are there for sure. We don't know if people before 2018 had it or not, after a big meteorite hit earth most online files were lost so we only know what really happened after that. Some records were found on sheets of paper is what I think they called it, they say it was made from trees. Who would cut down innocent trees to make this weird paper. Any who, we can find out who our soulmates is this way. I have been trying for the last six months and my wrist has stayed pretty cold. I checked both wrists because it is different for everyone.

I crafted this novelization in poetic form in order to exude the sentimental tragedy concerning the abuse of power dynamics in a rule-breaking relationship. This style encompasses all seven types of literary conflicts, through implication, exclusion, and both verbal and nonverbal communication. This is a fantasy that I wrote for my friend, putting the both of us in a romantic, adventurous world, where we are met with classically romantic and extremely differentiating suitors. The perspectives may be kind of confusing because of it, so bear with me;) I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
