On an autumn morning, in King's Landing, nothing is heard but a deathly silence. The streets are empty and it seems that even nature has stopped waiting for the sound of the bells. At 11.00 precisely their redundant noise makes the whole population celebrate: << the eldest daughter of King Robert Baratheon and Queen Cersei Lannister was born !. >> This is what the villagers said. Now 15 years later that day Reanna Baratheon will begin to know herself, the secrets of her family and above all, just as she learned from her mother, she will make everyone see that it does not take to be a man to be able to command.

House Darkthorne of Shadow's Peak had been a loyal vassal to its Liege, House Baratheon of Storm's End, but when King Robert died they had no choice but to remain neutral in the War of the Five Kings since they personally didn't believe King Joffrey had any claim to the Iron Throne and didn't want to endanger themselves by publicly choosing a side. The Head of House Darkthorne, Lady Bellatrix, had sent her husband, Lord Revan Dondarrion, to King's Landing to be the advisor of the Lord Hand Tywin Lannister but was falsely accused by the Queen Regent Cersei Lannister of supporting the claim of Renly Baratheon, which led to his prompt execution by beheading. This enraged Lady Bellatrix, the Royal family had forced her hand, she publicly declared her support of Robb Stark, The King in The North and pledged 20,000 of her Soldiers to the Assault of Casterly Rock. "As Queen Dahlia said, you have our thanks, Lord Frey, for all the time and space and food you have so kindly offered us and our men. However, as you well know, there is still a war raging outside these walls and we have spent enough time away from it." Robb said and one glance at Lord Frey's face let them both know the man did not appreciate the change in subject. "The men are growing restless and if we mean to march on, doing so as soon as possible would be best." "I see." Lord Frey grimaced. "So you are leaving then?" "With the men we were promised." Dahlia spoke up, to which Lord Frey turned to her with a frown. "30,000 at the least." "30,000 men?" Lord Frey scoffed. "Do you mean to leave this castle unguarded?" "No." Dahlia shook her head. "I just mean to take as many men from you as I can to aid in the war while still leaving behind enough numbers to protect the Twins." "I cannot give you 30,000." Lord Frey said. "You can." Dahlia argued back, her whole body tensing when she realized she would have to fight her father for the men she had been promised by him. Because of course she would. Never trust a Frey was what they said, wasn't it? "I know you can. And you will. Because that was what I was promised if I gave you a marriage and Harrenhal."

There she had stood, in place of her son, asking Lord Frey to let them pass by their bridge and they'd be on their way. On their way to King's Landing, most likely. Their way to Lord Stark. On their way to the Lannisters. Lady Catelyn had asked for their gates to be opened. In exchange, no harm would come to Lord Frey or his family. It was said that Robb Stark had an army of 20.000 men just outside their castle towers and Dahlia was sure they could breach their walls should they want to. And as she looked out into their camp, set not too far away as the white banner with the direwolf of the North wavered in the air, Dahlia wasn't entirely sure why they wouldn't. Set in seasons 1 through 3 Disclaimer: Some of the characters aren't mine and there might be some dialogue taken directly from the show.
