Once upon a time, in the kingdom of DunBroch, there lived a young and adventurous princess. Her bravery shone bright until one fateful day when she encountered a severely injured dragon, a creature she had never seen before. She decided to train it, even learning to ride, and named it Teal due to its striking eyes-later realizing he was a male. Everything changed when the notorious dragon hunter Viggo Grimborn threatened the kingdom, intent on wiping out dragons and seizing the islands for himself. Forced to flee for their safety, the princess's mother sent Merida and her brothers away, but they were too late; the hunters attacked, destroying their home and devastating their family. With a heavy heart, Merida escaped the island with Teal, guided by a Wisp to a new land that offered shelter and training for both herself and her dragon.
