This is a character study on the predatory species: Deathgrippers. They are mentioned in the third movie of HTTYD THW and are primarily characterized as subjugated dragons under Grimmel the Grisly's control. By the end of each chapter I hope to introduce a perspective where the strongest and the most brutal species does not equate to them being evil. To take their lack of depth for face value is a missed opportunity to add meaning, interpretation, and character. Furthermore, I would like to acknowledge the greater scale of the HTTYD fandom. I may not know all of you, but I wouldn't be the storyteller I am without the countless ideas and perspectives we exchange through media.
