People often ask me how I - a seemingly well-balanced, part-time working mother of two - came up with the plot of my novel, Nation of Enemies, A Thriller. It's based in the near future in a (civil) war-torn United States with a new caste system based on DNA. I don't even read thrillers. And yet...it just came to me. This is a piece about how a piece of information can lead you down a path and before you know it, you've written a novel.

Do you find yourself writing he nodded, she shook her head, he shrugged, over and over again? It gets tedious, and doesn't help at all when it comes to pin pointing your character's actual emotions. So I've made a book using notes I've been collecting over a few years to help you chose an alternative way to show that your character is angry, or sad, etc, plus many other writing tips and resources. Doesn't, he blinked at his watch, read better than, he looked at his watch ? Doesn't, he slugged across the wet cement, read better than, he walked down the street slowly. Avoid the white room in your story and replace telling with showing to give your readers a much better experience. **** When Alice storms across the room instead of walks, we know she's angry. We're expecting suspense. We're waiting for the next action. Maybe she'l punch a wall? Shout at her friend? Much better than, Alice walked across the room angrily, which gives your reader nothing to imagine.

I will be writing a warriors original novel and at the end, giving a breakdown of the scene explaining what I did and how I did it. Why am I doing this?I will be showing young writers the essentials of creating gripping novels with characters that the reader can care about by creating warrior cats scenes and explaining what I did. I decided to do this because I see a lot of warrior cats fan novels that fall short due to the writer's (through no fault of their own) inexperience in writing. writing is an art, but it also has a structure, a way that it must flow for it to succeed. Here, I am going to show you how to do that. My hope is that you can come out of this with the requisite knowledge that'll allow you to design and write a gripping story that people will enjoy reading.

I started writing in 2012 and self-published my first novel, Rebound, Boundless Series, Book 1 through eBook distributors. Over the last few years, I'd become disillusioned with writing and the publishing industry. While I used to give a lot of advice and study the craft, I've kept silent and stopped my studies of other authors' writing processes. Don't get me wrong, I love writing. I love teaching. But until I rediscovered that I'd rather write and share my work with others-with Wattpad being the best medium for my work, I had shut myself off from writing and sharing my experience and views on writing and the industry. I also suffer from Imposter Syndrome and Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria. Yeah, they sound as bad as it is. In this series of essays, I want to share what I've learned over these last ten years: from my meager beginning to my current writing history, and the things I learned from other authors who are such givers and have shared their process. If you choose to read my anecdotes, please leave a comment or vote, and share my link with your other writing friends. Happy Writing and Reading!!!
