Ophelia Avondale was like any 17 year old girl: she had annoying younger siblings (twins, who she hadn't seen for 6 months, in her case), she had parental estrangement (for fourteen years she had been without her mother and, still fresh in her mind, she had been without her father for almost a month), she'd had a stutter ever since she could talk and she was dating a boy she'd known since childhood. Draco Malfoy, however, was not like any 17 year old boy: he had a dark secret, darker than even he knew the extent of, so dark that it had dragged everyone he cared about into the darkness with him - but it wasn't his fault. For years, nearly 15 years, Ophelia and Draco had been the closest of friends, telling one another everything, and for months, nearly 4 months, Ophelia and Draco had been dating. But when Draco is forced to go on the run and Ophelia has to make an important decision that may throw her life on the line, how will their relationship fair?

This is my rewrite of the last part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It starts in the dungeon of Malfoy Manor, where Harry et al are being held captive. Draco brings a broken Hermione down to join them and makes them an offer they can't refuse. Drama/Romance/Adventure. Rated for later chapters.
