Perception is reality, and reality can be hell. A toxic husband at a funeral burial finds there are much worse fates then death hiding in plain sight. Oblivion and damnation can be one touch away in this horror tale.

Jeremy is at the end of his rope, but when a chance encounter lands him a job at a shifty looking lab on the night shift no less. Seven nights on duty, seven nights off. Seems legit, right? Jeremy thought so. At least until his first night, when strange things begin happening...

The Doom that Came to Sarnath, by H.P. Lovecraft. This short story was written in 1919, and was first published in the June 1920 issue (No. 44) of the Scottish amateur fiction magazine The Scot.
